Welcome back to Medieval Monday! Our “First Kiss” theme continues, and this week, Sherry Ewing is here with To Follow My Heart, the third book in her time travel romance series, The Knights of Berwyck, A Quest Through Time.

For those following my excerpt from Return of the Raven, you can find Snippet #12 on Sherry’s blog. Remember, you’ll find links to all the participating authors’ snippets at Medieval Romance Lovers on Facebook. (#MedMonSpring21)

Now, let’s enjoy Sherry’s twelfth snippet:

Her eyes begged him in silence to change his mind, but he could not take the chance of putting her in danger. With one last look at her, he made his way to the door and yanked the offensive portal open before speaking his mind.

See last week’s snippet on Anastasia Abboud’s blog: https://www.anastasiaabboud.com/grainsofsand

Follow along next week and find Sherry’s snippet on Jenna Jaxon’s blog: https://jennajaxon.wordpress.com/

A little more about the book:

After a gut wrenching break up with her fiancé, Jenna Sinclair heads to the coast to do a little soul searching. To say everything is subject to change is putting it mildly. Her world is not only turned upside down, but pretty much torn asunder when she is pulled through a time gate on the beach beneath the Cliff House and transported more than eight hundred years into the past.

Fletcher Monroe, captain of the garrison knights at Berwyck Castle, has wasted too much time pining for a woman who will never be his. When he finally decides to move on with his life and focus on his duties, he is suddenly confronted with a woman who magically appears at his feet. This could either be the best thing that has ever happened to him or another cursed event in a string of many.  He soon finds he is wildly attracted to her, but she’s scared to death of him – not a very encouraging beginning.

From the shores of California to twelfth century England and back again, Jenna and Fletcher must find a way to reconcile their two different worlds before Time forever tears them apart.

He pulled on the reins bringing the horse to a halt and scanned the perimeter of the area. “We shall make for the trees tae conceal us. Can ye ride just a few more minutes, Lady Ella?” he asked.

She rested her head upon his chest and felt his arms tighten around her. “Once I am upon solid ground again, I will give you a sound verbal thrashing for using the L word with me again. ’Til then, I suppose my bruised backside can withstand a few more minutes of torture on this hideous creature.”

She has lived another lifetime in the twelfth century waiting for the date of their reunion and it is almost upon her. But how could she have known the man she believes she loves is not the person she needs?

Killian of Clan MacLaren has been infatuated with Ella for many a year but has guarded his heart, knowing her affection lies with another. When Ella must flee Berwyck, Killian vows to escort her to her encounter with destiny. But passion flares between them and there is no doubt the bond they have is far greater than either of them expected.

bestselling author, De Wolfe Back Connected World, excerpt, Judith Sterling, Medieval Monday, medieval romance, Night of the Owl, Sherry Ewing, The Novels of Ravenwood, To Love a Scottish Laird

Welcome back to Medieval Monday!  Our theme of “Celebrations” continues, and today I’m featuring bestselling author Sherry Ewing’s To Love a Scottish Laird.

If you’re following the excerpt from my time travel romance, Night of the Owl, you can find the third snippet on Sherry’s blog: https://www.SherryEwing.com/blog/

Now, let’s read her third snippet:

He had no time to ponder the matter, for the very lady strolled into the hall with her brother and, Douglas assumed, the earl’s family. The resemblance was uncanny, and with the exception of the earl’s wife, they all had the same physical traits. But as he further observed Catherine from across the room, he could tell she was upset considering the pallor of her face. He knew the cause.

A little more about To Love a Scottish Laird:

Sometimes you really can fall in love at first sight…

Lady Catherine de Wolfe knows she must find a husband before her brother chooses one for her, but none of the knights and lords she knows have caught her eye. A tournament to celebrate the wedding of the Duke of Normandy might be her answer. She does not expect to fall for a man after just one touch.

Laird Douglas MacLaren of Berwyck is invited to the tournament by the Duke of Normandy. He goes to ensure Berwyck’s safety once Henry takes the throne. He does not expect to become entranced by a woman who bumps into him.

Before they can express their feelings, the Duke orders them wed to strengthen ties between his English supporters and the borderland, and then separates them by commanding Douglas’s escort to his home.

Yet, nothing is ever quite that simple. Not everyone is happy with the union of this English lady and a Scottish laird. From the shores of France, to Berwyck Castle on the border between their countries, Douglas and Catherine must find their way to protect their newfound love.

Welcome back to Medieval Monday! I’m excited to have my friend Sherry Ewing here today. We’re featuring her medieval romance, One Last Kiss.

If you’re following my “Bad Guy” excerpt from Shadow of the Swan, you can find the third snippet on Sherry’s blog. Remember to leave a comment there for a chance to win digital copies of the first three books in The Novels of Ravenwood series! Here’s the link: https://www.sherryewing.com/blog

Now, let’s enjoy Sherry’s third snippet:

“You must be famished after your ordeal, my lady,” the knight proclaimed with what appeared to be smug insincerity. “Having been thrown from your horse leaving you hurt and unconscious in the snow would certainly require the aid of Berwyck’s healer to see you on the mend.”

Be sure to leave a comment for Sherry to be in the running for her giveaway – an eCopy of One Last Kiss. A winner will be randomly selected and announced on Medieval Monday, September 9th.

Miss last week and a chance to comment? Check it out here: www.RuthACasie.blogspot.com

A little more about One Last Kiss:

Sometimes it takes a miracle to find your heart’s desire…

Scotland, 1182: Banished from his homeland, Thomas of Clan Kincaid lives among distant relatives, reluctantly accepting he may never return home… Until an encounter with the castle’s healer tells him of a woman traveling across time—for him.

Dare he believe the impossible?

Present Day, Michigan: Jade Calloway is used to being alone, and as Christmas approaches, she’s skeptical when told she’ll embark on an extraordinary journey. How could a trip to San Francisco be anything but ordinary? But when a ring magically appears, and she sees a ghostly man in her dreams…

Dare she believe in the possible?

Thrust back in time, Jade encounters Thomas—her fantasy ghost. Talk about extraordinary. But as time works against them, they must learn to trust in miracles.

Can they accept impossible love before time interferes?

In Sherry’s words:  One Last Kiss is a medieval/time travel in my Knights of Berwyck series. It first appeared in the Bluestocking Belles’ 2018 box set Follow Your Star Home. This novella is now available for individual sale. Release date: July 11, 2019.

Welcome back to Medieval Monday!  I’m thrilled to have my friend Sherry Ewing here today.  We’re featuring her medieval romance, If My Heart Could See You.

If you’re following my excerpt from Shadow of the Swan, you can find the fourth snippet of Robert and Constance’s first encounter on Sherry’s blog.  Remember to leave a comment there for a chance to win a signed print copy of the book!  Here’s the link: https://www.sherryewing.com/blog

Now, let’s enjoy Sherry’s fourth snippet:

Once again, her hooded head gave no answer whilst she clutched the tartan closer to her, as if it offered the security she stood in need of.

“No? Well, I cannot in all good conscience leave you here to fend for yourself. A name then,” he encouraged, “tell me your name?”

“My n-name?”

Dristan heard her whispered words softly teasing his senses. “Aye, mistress, your name. Surely you have one?”

He stood fascinated as the head of the woman swiveled quickly in his direction. For one brief moment he beheld eyes of violet, reminding him of the heather on the Scottish moors. Still he waited patiently for her answer and yet she provided nothing to give her identity away.

Be sure to leave a comment to be in the running for Sherry’s giveaway – an eCopy of If My Heart Could See You.  A winner will be randomly selected and announced on Medieval Monday, May 6th.

A little more about If My Heart Could See You:

When you’re enemies, does love have a fighting chance?

For Amiria of Berwyck, defeat does not come easily as she watches her home and clan being ripped asunder. When the very enemy who has laid siege to her home demands her fealty, she will do whatever it takes to protect her people including a hastily concocted ruse that quickly begins to unravel. All too soon, she starts to question whether she can forgive herself for betraying those she has sworn to protect.

Dristan of Blackmore, champion knight of King Henry II, has a reputation to uphold as the Devil’s Dragon. After his invading army conquers Berwyck castle, he sets out to manage the newly claimed estate by training its knights in the art of proper defense. At first, everything appears as it should be, or is it? Betrayed by those he believed he could trust, he must first set aside his anger before he can make room in his heart for love.

Together they are tied by an unspoken bond. As they begin to rebuild the land and unite their people, forces beyond their control attempt to tear apart their fragile truce and only time will tell if love will forever bring them together.

A Quest Through Time Novel, bestselling author, Flight of the Raven, giveaway, Judith Sterling, Medieval Monday, medieval romance, Sherry Ewing, The Knights of Berwyck, The Novels of Ravenwood, To Follow My Heart

Welcome back to Medieval Monday! It’s Week Three of our “Family” theme, and I’m excited to feature an excerpt by my dear friend and bestselling author, Sherry Ewing’s To Follow My Heart: The Knights of Berwyck, A Quest Through Time (Book 3).

If you’re following my excerpt from Flight of the Raven, you can find the third snippet on Sherry’s blog: https://sherryewing.com/blog/

Now, let’s enjoy her third snippet:

Fletcher very kindly held her chair out for her. It wasn’t something that hadn’t been done for her before at any high class restaurant, but, somehow, the gesture seemed more significant sitting here in a place of honor at the same table as the lord and lady of the hall. Once she was seated, the conversations in the room resumed to full volume. Fletcher sat down beside her, and Jenna felt dwarfed sandwiched between him and the gentleman next to her. She surmised this was the very same Riorden that Katherine had told her about, since she was placed to his left. He nodded to her when she took her seat, and Jenna almost swooned when she saw how handsome he was. Were all the men in this castle graced with such stunning good looks?

The food began to arrive on huge platters, sometimes carried by two servants, to feed the multitude of people who filled every table in the hall. There were so many individuals here, she likened it to a great big huge party where everyone was celebrating some special occasion. As the bounty began to fill the space in front of her, she began to wonder if the table would hold the weight of so much food.

Be sure to leave a comment for Sherry below for a chance to win an eCopy of To Follow My Heart, The Knights of Berwyck, A Quest Through Time (Book 3). A winner will be randomly selected and announced on Medieval Monday, December 31st.

A Quest Through Time Novel, Judith Sterling, Medieval Monday, medieval romance, new release, Only for You, Shadow of the Swan, Sherry Ewing, The Knights of Berwyck, The Novels of Ravenwood

Welcome back to Medieval Monday! Today, I’m featuring Sherry Ewing’s Only for You:  The Knights of Berwyck, A Quest Through Time Novel (Book Two).

If you’re following my excerpt from Shadow of the Swan, you can find the sixth snippet of Robert and Constance’s unconventional wedding night on Sherry’s blog:  https://sherryewing.com/blog/

Now, let’s enjoy her sixth snippet:

Riorden felt Katherine flinch at the sound of another calling his name. He watched her emotions play across her face whilst she gazed upon what she most certainly must consider a rival for his affections. It could not be further from the truth. Then he felt his own feeling of disbelief when Katherine’s grip was ripped away and she became dislodged from his arms. He saw her mouth open in a display of her own sense of shock as she was rudely pulled then pushed away from him when Marguerite reached his side and deftly took her place within his arms.

“Riorden, you have come back to me!” she voiced in a rush, flinging her arms around him. “I always knew you still loved me and would return so we could be together.”

A little more about Only for You:

Sometimes it’s hard to remember that true love conquers all only after the battle is over…

Katherine de Deveraux has it all or so she believes when she begins her life with her husband Riorden. But as she starts to settle into her duties as the Countess of Warkworth Castle, she finds that an easy life is not only difficult but downright dangerous to her well-being.

Consumed with the haunting memories of his father, Riorden must deal with his sire’s widow who just happens to also be his ex-lover. Yet how could he know just how far Marguerite is willing to go in order to have the life she feels they were truly meant to live?

Torn apart by circumstances neither Katherine nor Riorden could ever imagine, Time becomes their true enemy even while Marguerite continues her ploy to keep Riorden at her side. With all hope lost, will Katherine and Riorden find a way to save their marriage and have their happily ever after ending, or will Katherine be whisked back to where Time truly feels she belongs?
